Frank Bonnet (1951, Amsterdam, The Netherlands)
After obtaining his degree in Graphic Arts, Frank started his artistic career working as lithographer and photographer in the studios of various companies and advertising agencies. He soon abandoned the traditional graphic arts, to be able to focus all his efforts on his true love: photography. Now a free-lance photographer, Frank straddles the fields of analogue and digital, of traditional and modern, photography with verve.
Frank’s talent lies in the detail. As a professional photographer he works for a wide range of clients who appreciate his uncanny ability to demonstrate that nothing is ordinary or dull, that to the creative eye even the simplest of structures can have a haunting beauty. His un-commissioned work in particular is testimony to this unwavering devotion to detail. Whether he portrays flowers, people or landscapes, the resulting images invariable assume a dream-like quality.
Frank’s photographs have been published in newspapers and magazines. He has exhibited his photographs in various exhibitions in The Netherlands. His work has been included in collections of individuals and corporate houses.
