Benoît Marquet (Provence, France - 1977)
Love for photography came to Benoît Marquet through his travels and life abroad. Born in Provence, in the south of France, where he spent his childhood and student years, he decided at the age of 25 to go and see with his own eyes what the world looks like. Working with international humanitarian organizations, he successively went to Bosnia, Kenya, and Palestine. In 2006, this brought him to India.
Mostly interested in photographing people, he tries to capture timeless moments in daily life situations, human emotions and thoughts. He also enjoys documenting the work done by NGOs, which brings him close to social issues and the way people cope with life in difficult situations.
Benoit currently lives in New Delhi
