Manoj Kumar Jain (1970, Delhi, India)
After obtaining his Bachelor’s from the Delhi College of Arts, Manoj first worked as the Art Director in Mudra Communications and then as Creative Group Head for J Walter Thomson Company before seriously embarking on photography as a career.
His solo shows include “Anantanant” at the Academy of Fine Arts and Literature, Siri Fort, New Delhi, 2004, “Stories: hidden with shades of white” at the National Centre of Performing Arts, Mumbai, 2001, and “Delli o Delli” at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, 1999. Besides, he has participated in many group shows, the most recent being “Click” at Vadehra Art Gallery, New Delhi, 2008.
Manoj received the AIFACS Photography award in 1997 and Photographer of the Year award from Delhi College of Arts in 1992. His book projects include “The Positive Side”, Modicare Foundation and “The Built Heritage”, INTACH. His works have been shown in various advertising books and have been bought by art collectors in India and abroad.
Manoj presently lives and works in Delhi.
